roughly 1/3 of the staff walked off the job over pay conditions yesterday, not sure if it continued today but this shit needs to get sorted. Nutshell, a change in state gov practice early this year meant some subbies are on different pay rates to others on site who signed on after May.

Hope this shit gets sorted, every day of delay puts rd1 2020 in jeopardy.

Getting rid of grassed hills at Australian sporting stadiums is a problem.

We used to have three grassed hills at the Willows stadium. The former hill on the Eastern side of the Willows stadium was popular. I know two families who no longer go to cowboys games because they got rid of that grassed hill below the Eastern stand. This area was reasonably priced as well.

I think grassed hills have now disappeared from all the major cricket stadiums except the Adelaide oval. In Perth, major cricket games (Tests etc) are moving from the WACA to the new Optus Stadium (no hill).

In my opinion the new Townsville stadium should have a grassed hill.

Grass hills are crap at stadiums. Uncomfortable, hard to move around, and unsafe when there is a big crowd.

Hills had their place but that time has gone. The northern end of the new home will have more relaxed seating at the northern end by the look of the renders, wet seasons suck ass if you have hill tickets. And they can be pretty dangerous if you’ve had a skinful.
