List of dudes who have played as a FB at Cows currently:

Hampton
Morgo
Granny
GGM
Bowen
Anderson
Taulagi
TMM
Does anyone else think that the best fullback we've had in recent times was Morgan, casually playing a blinder every single week in late notice position-switch?
(Filling in for a "Nines"-injured Coote (is he Granny?))

Yes, Morgan was good at fullback. Towards the end of his stint there, oppositions were constantly testing him with the high kick. He might need to do a bit extra high ball work. With Thurston gone we probably don't have an option to move him there now.

I’m firmly in the Feldty for Fullback camp. Bring GMM onto that wing. Done. If Morgo wants a shot back there, then TMM and Big dog in the halves.

I’m f$&@ing furious but honestly not surprised at this assclown. The NQ club has signed players with questionable pasts, Rob lui being one, and as far as I’m aware he was exemplary for us off the field. This f***wit, we went out on a limb for him, he had a connection to this area, all he had to do was stay off the piss and leave all that shit behind and he just shat in the face of everyone involved with the club. He’s got form in this alleged department as well so it’s not like it came out of the blue.

Sigh.

Playing fullback requires some understanding of defence.

On the cowboys homepage 15 backs are listed. Thirteen, if we exclude Cowboy Benny B. and Kyle. If we are not going to recruit a fullback, pick one from this thirteen.

Kyle is the most clutch player in the team these days. We don't have many genuine match winners who can win you a game on their own in the squad but he is one of them - if not the only one. Deserves a chance at fullback if he wants it. Perhaps put the C next to his name as well.

Word on the street (some Singaporean road at 3am last night) is that some bloke with 3 names is firming up big time for a run in the #1 now.

Matthew Walsh-Parker or something

Feldts ability is irrepressible, and I'd love me some big power FB, we've done the small elusive FB thing to death here. I would really miss those sideline finishes as they'd no doubt drop off, but some high, try-line kicks in the middle of the field with king kyle steaming thru would be glorious... and we'd still have Nene on the sides for the wide kicks. Feldty out jumping middle players would be kid+candy store like shenanigans.

His leg and the boot attached is still underutilised. Id love to see him develop his in-play kicking game. He could be a 40-20 specialist (or even a 20-20 specialist), and would put up the maddest of attacking bombs inside the opposing teams half.

My only concern (which any concern for me to admit with the 9th, pains me to great lengths), would be his leadership abilities. I've always thought him as more the lone-assassin type, so I'd be worried about whether he could take on the vocal aspects of being the man at the back

Could you imagine the fap fest.

Someone should be all "C'mon Bill, Cronk proved he was no 'big 3' system player when he went and did it on his own - you'd be regelated to 'big 3' support act status unless you can prove it to everyone as well"

I think we're flush with centres, so the most logical thing would be to give Hampton first crack based on his form at the end of last year. The dude can find the line in that position, which is why we got Cokey Smurf in the first place.

I'm not one to wish ill will on anyone but I hope Val fails in America. Worse than Hayne.
It will be interesting to see what happens if he doesn't get signed by an NFL team, the Sharks have said the terms of his release were that he had to come back to them if he returned to the NRL in 2019, but with the salary cap situation there how could they pay him.

Also, not sure if it's been posted already but Barba allegedly grabbed his missus around the neck threw a rock at her in the car park. And two current players stood idly by and failed to intervene. Anyone got the inside goss to confirm?

I'd not be surprised if they have strict instructions to stay the hell away from anything dodgy like that. "Cowboys players in car park brawl after Barba bashes Missus" isn't a great headline really, is it?
