We've actually got a really good opportunity to clean out the dead wood this year. Just about everyone I'd like to see gone is off contract barring probably Granville.

O'Neill seems to have a new lease of life this season so I'm fine with us re-signing him an extra couple of years. He's still only 28.

Re-sign:
- Tuala
- Dunn
- Hampton
- Jensen

Promote:
- Cotter
- Gilbert

Sign:
- Robson

Release:
- Baptise
- Bolton
- Bowen
- Cooper
- Kahu
- TMM
- Mosby
- Scott

That leaves us with 24 in our squad, with room to go into the open market, and also promote from within our 20’s. While there is not much top end talent available, there’s plenty of under rated talent that’ll be looking elsewhere from their current clubs for a better opportunity.

What ever Alfie puts in their water, can the cows get some, that's the way a footy teams wins.
When will the NRL realize that the donkeys play with an extra player on the field when they are attacking?
We need to give the big bucks to JT as a water boy a la Alfie- maybe get him a cattle prod

I have been watching/ listening to Billy Slater commentate for channel nine. He makes many other commentators look either inept, bias or both. I reckon paying a guy like that to do a internal review on performance would be ideal. From players and player management to set plays. Of course he still works for the storm but it shouldn't be too much of a conflict of interest.

No thanks. Big conflict of interest.
Well, I wasn't really asking your permission. It was just a thought I had.

It's not like the way Melbourne play is a super secret. Cronk left and took his knowledge away and listening to Billy commentate he reads and commentates on plays very technically. Not only from Melbourne Storm but the opposing teams also. A very good football mind, he and JT make the post match commentary almost cerebral (very un-nrl)

No problem with opinion and other peoples thoughts. That's what a forum is all about.
You reply less like an opposing opinion and more like you are shutting someone down.
Anyway, that's how I read it.

Why not, Gus Gould done it!!!!
Could be great for some honest feedback, as he is not part of the team.

What did Gus actually do when he came to the club? I thought we offered him a 12 month deal, he came up to Townsville for a week and then turned it down.

Well, the forum has been critical about Green's coaching methods as of late. Personally the penny dropped for me after the Bulldogs loss this season. Shit I was a Henry fan, defending the bloke all the way up until our 8 game streak to make the finals back then. Hate blaming the coach, but the team isn't going forward, not evolving. Most clubs need a shake up and a Gus type figure would provide that, even tho it may not end in terminations. He's a strong figure, not toxic
