Townsville lost to the Sunshine Coast 24-4, their first loss in about 11 weeks (which was also to the Falcons). They'll now play Mackay, who beat Tweed 23-10.

Garrett Smith and Josh Smith both scored tries for the Cutters, Keanu Wainohu-Kemp scored the Blackhawks only try. Wiremu Greig was sent off for the second time this season.

Update on Hamiso: out for the season according to the Bully.

"Kirwan has been without its star quartet for much of the schoolboys season, with all four players suffering season-ending injuries.

Tabuai-Fidow is recovering from a torn hamstring and is one of the biggest losses for the Bears after gaining Australian Schoolboys selection in July after impressing for Queensland at the National Championships."

Well that explains it. Very unlucky for him not being able to play or train with the Australian Schoolboys side. It must have been a pretty severe tear to rule him out for the year.

At least he will get a full pre-season training with the first grade side under his belt before hopefully getting a go in the trials.

Interesting. Fullback player of the year in both U20 and U18 and a hooker as the player's player.

Cook has only played fullback for the last 2-3 games to accommodate for Aaron Moore moving up. He's spent most of the year at halfback.

Is this being broadcasted in any shape or form?

Hamiso seems to run 2 strides to the oppositions 1 when he runs.
Definitely the most exciting prospect since Kalyn.
