The circumstances surrounding this game are kind of similar to the first grade game but reversed. In the NYC, we're 4th and a win definitely should see us finish in the top 4, while Brisbane are 8th and a win will finish them in the top 8. Neither side actually needs to win to finish where they want but they won't have to rely on other teams if they do. When we played in Round 2 when won 20-18. We should have enough to win again and solidify a top 4 spot.

Our 1-17 is unchanged from last weekend's win, although Duarne Dempsey returns to the reserves. Haven't seen him named recently, not sure if he was injured. Kalyn and Kurt Wiltshire are still out with injury. If we can get them back for next weekend it'll be a huge boost.

Brisbane are on a two game winning streak, beating two sides above them on the ladder (Eels and Dragons). Before those two wins they hadn't beaten a current top 8 team since Round 8. Patrick Carrigan is the workhorse of their side, he averages an insane 188 metres per game and 34.2 tackles to go with it. Gehamat Shibasaki (a Townsville boy) is one to watch as well. He averages 134.9 metres and 6.2 tackle breaks a game. I don't which side he'll line up on but that might be a nice battle between him and Enari if they're opposite each other. Their hooker Tristan Hope is dangerous from dummy half, he's scored 4 tries in the last 2 games.

The boys lead 18-8, second half just started.

-------------------------------------------------------

Bit of a bottle job there, Broncos win 26-24 thanks to a penalty goal after the siren. Disappointing especially after lead 22-8 early in the second half.

The boys need Parramatta to lose to Souths to secure a top 4 spot.

Eels are about to beat Souths, meaning they leapfrog for us for 4th. Looks like we'll finish 5th with an elimination final next weekend.

The Knights with a big upset win over the first placed Sharks. They move from 10th to 7th, meaning we'll play the 8th placed Sea Eagles next weekend.
