Hey Adam, yeah my advice would be Surry Hills. The express trains will be free with your GF ticket. They depart from Central it's only about 10-15min to Olympic Park. Central Station itself is right between Surry Hills and China Town so there are plenty of places to eat and drink. There's an Adina, Mercure, Rydges, Novotel Assuming you're flying you can easily catch a train too and from the airport too (you're probably looking at about $15 per person each way). They will also run free buses so another potential spot to look at might be Coogee. Hey mate. You mentioned Surry hills as central to getting a train, my wife and I are looking for a hotel and no nothing about Sydney, would you suggest anywhere there? Is that a good location to stay re getting into the game etc etc?
