The Northern Pride, in partnership with the Cairns District Rugby League, invite applications for positions within their Academy for the 2011 Cyril Connell (Under 16) and Mal Meninga (Under 18) Cup squads. All interested parties are encouraged to apply providing they can meet the minimum standards as detailed. It is also a QRL ruling that all personnel associated with under age teams must hold or be eligible to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card prior to commencement.

The Northern Pride Academy has provided pathways for local junior rugby league players and staff to progress in their chosen field. The extensive, sustained and professional exposure to quality competition has seen 17 players from the 2009 & 2010 squads go on to play in the CDRL “A” Grade competition, 6 have represented Queensland and 6 have secured NRL contracts.
