Faimu has been ruled out of the Manly clash because of a groin injury. Clint Amos has been given the nod to take his place.

I just read this on the Cowboys web site.

Good to see Amos get a chance. Has been very impressive in the Guns.

NQ Toyota Young Guns hooker Clint Amos will make his first grade debut for the Cowboys this Saturday night when they take on Manly at Dairy Farmers Stadium.

The 22 Year Old who has twice won the Young Guns player of the year award at the club will replace David Faiumu on the bench. Faiumu has been ruled unfit with a groin injury.

Coach Graham Murray believes Amos has served his apprenticeship," Clint is ready he has played some great football for us in the Queensland Wizard Cup for the Young Guns and his trial form has been solid," Murray said.

I'm wrapped for Amos. He's been among the Guns' best every time I've watched them.

I don't know that he's anything special but he's a trier that does the little things right and gives it everything. You can't have too many of those.
