Howdy all
I am a long time reader of this forum, and former occasional contributor....forced to re-register when I couldn't remember my old username and password - I think my name was Bomber? Or something like that? Anyway....
I don't think I've posted here since 2006....when I moved out to Winton to do a short teaching contract. I remember asking for advice on road conditions on this very forum and Leesee telling me to avoid the speed cameras near Pentland (to this day, I've never seen one yet on the entire Flinders Highway!).
I remember lots of great conversations and threads on this forum back in its Southern Stampede days...with characters like Beaves, Leesee, dsgcar, Tigertread and others whose names I cannot recall. I also remember my annual "Top Ten Greatest Cowboy Wins" threads sparking a lot of debate. Then there was the night in the chatroom where we spontaneously renamed this forum the "Steve Southern Stampede".
In the four years since I've moved slightly down the road to Longreach and look set to stay here for quite a while. Travelled to Townsville with a mate to watch the Titans game and didn't mind singing and walking in the rain back to my car. Nearly losing my car on the way back to Longreach in a pothole the size of the Riverway was quite a different story.
Anyway, howdy once again, I'm estactic to have found the old website once again and here's to a great 2010 season. :cowboy:
