I'm glad to see that Muzz is rewarding the great performance of the boys against Brisbane. Each and every person in that lineup has played their way into the team and deserves to stay there!

Oh great.. let's make Carl Webb even more unhappy than he is at the moment by not playing him in the team. It doesn't matter that the June 30 deadline is 3 months away, does it?
He's in our top 17 best players, so I think he should be in the team somewhere... though after the Brisbane game..hmm, I'm not sure where admittedly..

Thats exactly right. Why would you send someone back down to QRL level when they pulled their weight and demonstrated beyond ANY doubt that they should maintain their position for this weekends game. Sure, if they have a shocker then its back to the drawing board and reconsider all options. Its only just gone round one, there is plenty of time to crack back into the big time. As for Webb .... does the crime, does the time, has to pay for it. If we happen to find a more worthy player to fill the position whilst he is sitting out for suspension then so be it. he'll have to live with it. If he doesnt like the way we do things then start thinking about contracts.
Just my opinion

Look at that team, that is EXACTLY the same side which got beaten by spoon favs the raiders. Now that same team has to verse the new premiershiop favs. Des is a total moron, thats all i got to say. A few changes woulda done a world of good.
Disagree. I would have been happy for Hasler to change things. The more that teams plays together the better they should get. Then again they are Manly with an idiot coach, so anything could happen.
I think the boys need to be on full alert this weekend. Manly have always played well against us in the early rounds.

Just my opinionI agree Nq Gurl. I see no reason why Carl Webb should be back in first grade at the moment.

if webb pulls his weight then he should get a run on just like any of the team. tronk is doing ok too.

I agree that des should leave the team the same to get time to gel but at the same time we wont gel till about round 5 or 6. I will be happy with manly if we lose by 10 but im sure you guys will put 50+ on us.

I hope you're right there Ryan. Would be good to build well on the for and against, although I think it will be a bit closer than that.

I just noticed Steve Clarke wasnt the ref so yeah it might be close after all :clown:

I still believe young Brenton Bowen should be given a go on the wing he is constantly the young guns best player and he is more dangerous to the opposition than Sweeney.

Amos in

why don't they leave payney on the whole game, and bring carl webb in as a forawrds replacement, alternate between southern and webb. Payney is fit enough, he should be given a go for the whole game.

we would be buggered if one of our little guys got injured though if we did that, smith could fill in for msot roles i guess but if payney fell would be stuffed for a hooker

Yeah, I suppose if Payne were to get injured in that situation Bowen could go to hooker, Williams to fullback and Smith to the centres. Then we'd be worrying about Bowen defending in the middle of the ruck though I suppose.

I definitely like the decision of having Amos in ahead of Webb and Jensen. It just makes more sense at the end of the day.
Clint Amos deserves a place in first grade no doubt about that.
