i must've been the only clown in brisbane that didn't know about the flooding. it doesn't flood at red hill lol.
i went into work to lecture some naughty kids yesterday, and was lucky to make it in...the hospital was completely cut off, and tonnes of staff has their cars flooded.
again, i didn't know about this until the hockey association rang me to say the clubhouse was flooded and that the carpark was a lake.
i need to stop putting peroxide in my hair

We lost power for about 4 hours but apart from that, we're fine. At least we won't have to worry about tough water restrictions for a long time now.

Okay, Not a lunatic but umm, somebody with lots and lots of problems lol, and i guess its high secure since its complete seclusion, a 2 staff to one ratio, so meh whatever you wanna call it lol.

Atleast it was nothing serious, and Water restrictions should be eased now, its apparently up to 73% or something

someone who committed an idictable offence while not compus mentus.
oh high secure is awesome. you should try working with them when they're on the 4 point leathers, trying to break free and they're trying to spit on you. god love rapid tranquilisation lol

You Brisbane people try dealing with floods the magnitude that the people of North Queensland go through. We get it a lot harder than you lot :p
In all seriousness, I hope that the effects of the floods subside quickly for anyone affected.

Yeah I enjoy it, the whole Forensic order thing is interesting, having to actually have the person signed in and out when they have to leave the unit is different from what i am use to, lol and the whole spitting factor is something i've experineced but not something i enjoy as such lol.........

worst part is some are hep c/hiv. nursing them in HDU means i've got to be within an arms reach at all times.
you are permanently on your guard, and you always use the age old principle of never let a dog smell fear. they'll rip you apart otherwise.

Yeah, you certainly have to deal with some ****ty circumstances in the industry, but i spose it goes with the territory........

the part i enjoy is restraining them. nothing beats that :)

oh i'm a headkicker, and i won't deny that. nobody tries to assault me and gets away with it. we can use self defence to the point of death, and there's no way i'm going to get flogged by one of these blokes.
i've been told time and time again i should be a police officer lol

In all seriousness, I hope that the effects of the floods subside quickly for anyone affected. We couldn't cope Spiral. I was living in Townsville when the floods hit in 1997. In Kirwan we got around 850mm in 12 hours. From memory, Black River unofficially recorded 1200mm.
The difference between the 1974 floods down here and this week is that we now have the Wivenhoe dam which has saved thousands of homes from flooding. I guess a Government got something right for a change.
I had a laugh last year when Melbourne had a flood crisis after getting one of their biggest days of rainfall in their history - about 120mm.

Yeah, Its not a good policy in whatever you do to be assulted by anybody for any reason, and you have to make sure it doesn't happen by doing anything that you find to be successful lol I have been lucky enough to work with "Behavioural" people throughout my 5 years doing this and only been hit once..........turns out thats the last time it happened lol......

i've been told time and time again i should be a police officer lolThey couldn't possibly let you loose on the general public.....could they?
leesee
21-05-2009, 08:34 PM
when i was in the USA, 2 inches of rain caused flooding lol. they don't have the drainage we have here.
ozy, as for the assault bit...i've had my share of black eyes. they don't get much further than that, because then i get them down, have them injected, and then slap them with an assault charge.
rule of thumb - never turn your back on them lol

oh the 4 point leathers are much more exciting lol
rapid tranquilisation is classed as restraint ozy, so it still exists :)

LoL........I think i need to move into the Mental Health lol, that sounds like good fun
leesee
21-05-2009, 08:49 PM
oh god...if you do move into mental health, be sure to fight to keep your sanity lol! with the amount of ridiculous things i see and listen to, it's a constant battle to not consider their behaviour normal.
4 point leathers need a court order to be used, and rapid tranqulisation is what saved me from having my throat ripped open by a patient.
the only problem with mental health is it's poorly funded and the system fails them all.
