Cowboys under-20s officials are hopeful workhorse lock Tyson Martin will also be fit to play against the Raiders.

The 19-year-old lasted just 15 minutes in the club's brave 29-28 win against the Storm after going down with a knee injury.

But with the long turnaround between games, coach Kristian Woolf said he would give Martin every chance to play against last year's National Youth Competition champions.

"He's got a grade one medial tear so we're pretty hopeful he'll be back next week," he said.

"It's usually a one-week turnaround. We've just got to see how he recovers over the next couple of days and make a decision on him later in the week.

"At this stage he's probably 50/50 but we're pretty hopeful he'll be right."

Saturday night's hero Ben Cronin and 17-year-old Michael Morgan are expected to again be named in the halves today, with Sam Bowie due to return in round four.

Regular halfback and captain Ray Thompson is expected back from shoulder surgery in round 12.

1 minutes after half time the score is 24-4 to the raiders.

hopefully the trend between first grade and the U20 team continues...Usually the result for the Cowboys goes the opposite way to the U20's!
