Townsville South Bank has just been announced for the old railway yards which will be a mix of residential, retail, hotels & parkland or Flinders Street West opposite Bombay Rock is residential etc & also on old rail workshop yards.
Otherwise work is continuing on the industrial precinct at Townsville's southern approach.
Hope that helps GCCK.

North Shore by Stockland would be the biggest residential development with about 15,000 residents. http://www.stockland.com.au/Residential/QLD/NorthQueensland/NorthShore/About/
Devine Homes are doing a development next to the Ross Dam. http://www.riverparksestate.com.au/

I was always waiting for someone to build a big air conditioned dome over Townsville. Now that we have an (almost) engineer in our ranks, you could design one GCCK.

Domain Central is ever expanding GCCK & there would be a fair bit of roof space there.

staduims are on the shopping list solar installations, not sure if the giant whichitty grub design of skilled park will be able to handle a few extra tonne son its roof but suncorp an dairy farmers are in good spots. Bringing down he bills per game to help out the apparent "financial" crisis of the nrl mite do it some good. Glad i moved from traffic to power, some pretty cool stuff i get to work on
