Since there isn't much going on the forum I thought why not.

Should prove to be an interesting topic.

I voted for Scott Prince as I believe he and JT would make an awesome combination.

Prince at 7 and Jon at 6.........Yes Please! I don't hold anything against him for leaving when he did.

Neither do I.. I would've done the same thing had I been in his position. It'd be great to have him back, but I don't think we'd be able to afford him.. Maybe with Norton and Sing retiring it could be possible.. they'd be on a bit of money I'd imagine.

All you people who voted for prince, you either have very short memories or weren't a cowboys fan at the time of his "departure". I will vote on Aussie Idol before i vote for him (and theres no chance of the first one happening). Gotta be Mucky to come back, followed by Lucky. The club brought them up here from down south as teenagers and stuffed them around over their last few years at the club, they should be given another chance.

Beave,
I must confess that I don't know who to believe about the Scott Prince departure as there seem about as many who believe he had to leave for his future as those who condemn him as a traitor.

I was in Brissie at the time without the net and wasn't able to follow the saga much and the info I did get would have been pro-Broncos anyway. But the club was in such a shambles with no light at the end of the tunnel, I don't find it too hard to believe that I might have done the same.

Just goes to show how far we've come from those dark times. Matty Bowen never really looked like leaving this year.

I'm with you on that one Beave!!!!!!!

I voted for JLo. I hope a stint away will really turn him into a top class forward.

I also voted for J-Lo cause I also believe 2 years at Souths will do him alot of good if he decides to come back.

Reason I never put Morro on the list is because he is almost 30. I only made a list of players who are still fairly young.

FYI beave, My memory be it long or short term is perfectly okay and I have been a cowboys fan since game 1 1995( I was at the game) and was very sorry to see scotty prince leave and join brisbane, I for one would love to have him back forming a very formidable combination with JT.

This is assuming any of them would want to come back. They all left because they were not good enough or not wanted, why would any of them come back? Apart from Prince the rest are not really NRL quality.

Very true, that's being shown with Muckert at Parra but I thinkFienny has gone very good at the Warriors and will be interesting to see how GG and Milk goes at the Warriors too.

Shepp found a new club yet?

I vote for Prince and agree on the Jaiman Lowe theory. I reckon Thursty and Prince would be alot better than Thursty and Firman. Firman hasn't found his best form yet but even so Prince has shown alot more this year than I think Firman is capable of........and I don't reckon McConnell is gonna get a shot at it unfortunately.

well then maybe you remember that he was quoted saying that he could not see himself playing rep football whilst playing for a team that low on the ladder, and by signing for brisbane was the only way to further his career. Pity he left, because that year Doyle, Buttigieg, Bowman, Fien and green made the QLD side. I'm not having a dig at you or anyone who voted for him, hell he is a class player, but when the going gets tough (as it was back then) and a player shows his true colours by running from a sinking ship the way he did, meh, shows how "loyal" he was to the club that brought him over from the Isa and helped him through the early, years. Players like Bear, Peter Jones and johnny buttigieg who could have earned a motza and furthered their career by taking offers from the rival clubs that showed interest, but none of them did and remained loyal til the end, thats the type of player i want in my trenches.

Nahh bugger that i will take the money anyday. You are not in football for long and if you set yourself up for life by moving from one club to another so be it. It is only a game after all and not life and death stuff. Thats the nature of sport these days. I don't begrudge anyone for doing what they think is best for their future. VOTE 1 Princey

The only reason i would see to have a grudge against someone that left was if they put **** on the club after they did leave. Cant remember any of ours doing it, probably has been though i aint as old as some in here (cheekish grin)

After 12 heavy beers and a few bourbons I believe it is quite plausable to spell it Karindai. You knew what I meant so the purpose was served.

if the reports were true (and the stories had to have come from somewhere) we had one former player do it at the begining of this season ....

I got to say out of the lot Chris Muckert made the biggest mistake of his career by joining Eels. Seriously, if he had stayed at the club he would have been part of Cowboys first finals teams and maybe even grand final team.

I even figured him for state of origin if he hadn't left; what a shame!!!

Mucky didn't want to leave, was forced to go because of other reasons.

imported_dscottflanders

I agree with beave, Mucky was an asset to the club and loyal.

He left for reasons pretty much beyond his control. He wanted to stay, and should have been able too.

He is loyal to the club and frequently attended games in Sydney to watch the boys go round the park after joining parra.... we saw him at the games.

The_Darkhorse

I agree he certainly showed plenty of loyalty. It's just a shame that he is not quite good enough on the field to compete consistantly at that level.

Did i hear right that mucky will be in clydesdales colours this year? Be strange seeing him in a broncos jersey. With the form carlaw has shown of late mucky right be up there in the roster. Hes only got stagg and thorn to compete with plus the drongos have lost mapp.

Be better seeing mucky in a titans jersey

oh that's right I remember yep. Well if he is going around for Clydesdales next year hope he gets a shot at first grade.

Also hope Mussy get's some first grade next season although it will be a battle for him to get some taste of first grade again with the players he has in front of him but you never know.
