Slater was very unlucky not to retain his spot at fullback :pale: - those vying for the 17-man are Carlaw, Norton, Nate Myles and Tonie Carroll is fit to play - GO THE MAROONS - WE CAN DO IT THIS YEAR

It would have been a very tough call for the selectors. Both deserve to be there but I can see their need to strengthen the bench. Matty was being wasted at dummy half cause he rarely got enough room to strut his stuff. He can now choose his moment to get involved rather than having to be in the action on every play.

Fingers crossed for a huge game from him.

This is way too harsh for Billy, great to see Matty get the run on spot however I think they still could have used Slater off the bench for impact or possibly on the wing. I think Singy has been a bit quiet for both Origin games. Billy is an excitement machine and definately one of the most entertaining players in the game. I'm thinking C U Slater Origin decider :pale:

Me too...

Mango is just a waist of space on the bench IMHO.

It's disapointing that Slater was dropped, but if I'd have to make a decision out of the two, I think Matty should be in the side because of his playmaking skills and ability to potentially add another dimension to Queensland's attack.
